What to expect?
Together with max. 8 guests and the skipper you will explore the Algarves on board of our modern, spacious 42ft catamaran Time-Out. You will get in touch with all facets at sailing at sea in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sailing, sunbathing, spotting dolfins and at the end of the day in a harbor or at anchor with a BBQ at the beach and enjoying the sunset.

West of Faro you will find the touristic seaside resorts such as Lagos, Portimao, Albufeira and Vilamoura. In the Faro Delta there are Islands with small fisherman settlements that can only be visited by dinghy. Here you find local fishrestaurants and some small bars.

East of Faro you will find the old Portugese fishingvillages such as Tavira and Santo Antonio. In this easterly part mass-tourism the has not yet influenced the Algarves. Here you still find a friendly population in an the autentic Portugese atmosphere..

During the 8-day trip you will get to know both parts of the Algarves.

Will it be dinner on board, in one of the local restaurants or a BBQ at the beach? Discuss the options with the other guests and decide what to do.

You will have ample time to visit the villages and cities.

The Algarve
The Algarve is the most southerly part of Portugal.The Rio Guadiana, border between Portugal and Spain, lies in the east. In the south and west you will find the Atlantic Ocean. With its coastline of 170 kilometer, many bays and beautiful harbors an ideal sailing area.

Each year, on average, more than 3000 measured hours of sunshine. The number of rain-free days lies above 300. You are almost daily assured of sun in a subtropical climate.

Pleasant temperatures until the end of October. In the daytime the heat is tempered by a refreshing see breeze. At night it cools of enough to assure a good sleep.

Sailing experience is not required.
Do you have little or none sailing experience? Don’t worry with some explanation you will be able to assist with hoisting the sails, sailing the catamaran, and help with the navigation. We expect each participant to occasionally help preparing meals doing the dishes and clean up the boat. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the sun, water and beautiful coastline.
